About

The FMR (Fredericton Model Railroad Club) aka, (Fredericton Model Railroaders), was founded in 1975 by a group of interested modelers in the Fredericton area.

For a while the club operated under a formal constitution. It is currently back to the old days of an informal collection of people interested in railroading — real and model railroading.

Model Railroading involves many different facets. Including, but not limited to; "carpentry, electrical (both practical and electronics), creating and painting scenery, DCC (Digital Command Control) for controlling the trains), wireless operations, building models, and using your smart phone to control the trains". Not to mention, exercising your imagination and your artistic flair.

This FMR welcomes all adults and young people, who, are interested in the hobby. Having experience in model railroading, is not a requirement, as the Members are here to help everyone learn and that includes themselves.
